SixTwelve is excited to present artist-in-residence Urban Pilón. The Chicago-based culinary brand, Urban Pilón, led by chef Roberto Pérez, will be visiting the Oklahoma City metropolitan area from March 26 through March 28. The residency will include presentations and workshops at local schools and community spaces.

SixTwelve will host an Afro-Cuban dance workshop with Iré Elese Abure followed by a Caribbean cooking workshop with Urban Pilón at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28. This event is FREE and open to the public. Urban Pilón’s mission is to honor and preserve cooking traditions from Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, and Latin America, while using completely natural, healthy ingredients. With this mission in mind, Roberto Pérez serves not only as chef, but as storyteller, sharing ancestral stories and history through food, cooking classes, and demonstrations.
