Join Stephanie Jordan here at SixTwelve to learn how to create a habitat that attracts and supports a variety of butterflies and other pollinators. We’ll also learn how to identify eggs and larva and to bring in a few to raise and release, as well as sharing tips on tracking the migration of the Eastern Monarch population as it travels through Oklahoma twice each year.

Stephanie Jordan is the Pollinator Outreach Coordinator for The Nature Conservancy of Oklahoma. She also coordinates education and outreach for Okies for Monarchs. Previously, Stephanie worked as a market grower of organic, native and pollinator host plants and has been an urban beekeeper for most of the last decade.
Through the year, Jordan gives presentations to various groups, advises municipalities seeking to add new/expand existing pollinator spaces, educates the next generation of pollinator advocates through age-scaled interactive games, gives radio and television interviews and acts as a general resource for inquiries through the Okies for Monarchs website.
Stephanie considers it her personal and professional mission to help Oklahomans better understand how their day-to-day choices impact pollinators, particularly the monarchs who migrate through our great state in the spring and fall, and how those same choices impact the land and water upon which all life depends.
