Shammah Garcia is cofounder of Holistic Homestead/Living Faith Farms. She, her husband Sergio and 5 children, 12 and under, made the journey to 6 acres of raw, wooded and virgin land in 2018. This relocations purpose was to heal their family after diagnosis of a genetic condition that can only be controlled by clean eating. The family works together to raise, preserve, and eat food produced by thenselves. They produce one hundred percent of their own grass fed dairy and finished meats, ninety percent of their own veggies, and a small amount of fresh fruits from their own organic permaculture orchard. Together, this family is breaking the myth that a living can not be made on six acres, by living a net zero lifestyle and protecting the soil while raising and selling excess meat and veggies to the community. They want to encourage others to eat seasonally, live simply, laugh often and share a hobby.
