Join Commonwealth Urban Farms at SixTwelve for Basilmania - an event to celebrate the end of the basil season with basil-themed food and drink!

Local chefs will serve tasting items featuring basil for attendees to sample throughout the evening while they enjoy live music, a silent auction, and support urban agriculture and education!

All proceeds of this event will go towards sustaining the work of CommonWealth Urban Farms and Closer to Earth.

CommonWealth Urban Farms is an urban farm located in the heart of Oklahoma City. Their focus is on community abundance: using gardening and the commonality of food as a means of connecting neighbors and enlivening our local community. This wonderful neighborhood farm grows vegetables and cut flowers for individuals and restaurants in the metro area. They also offer workshops and service/learning events on gardening, composting and urban farming. They are passionate about building a sustainable society, and believe that local food is a key part of what makes a community healthy and resilient.

Closer To Earth is a non-profit youth group empowering teenagers through personal mentorship and leadership development. They engage youth in organic gardening and environmental and food justice advocacy. CTE mentors a diverse group of youth including youth serving court ordered or school required community service.
