Rain Gardens provide a multitude of benefits. They not only look good and support biodiversity; they also make use of water that collects in natural depressions, improve water quality through filtration, and keep runoff from burdening storm drains and sewers. Through the process of construction at SixTwelve, we have gained areas on our property that lend themselves to this collection of water so we are making the most of it.
Join us for a workshop with Paul Mays, SixTwelve’s Head of Permaculture, and botanist Phillip Koszarek at SixTwelve where we will create a rain garden on the premises, and teach others how to do the same on their own properties.
