OKC Metro! Join us for a free community workshop for children with special needs introducing adaptive music skills and therapeutic techniques. Board-certified music therapists and music educators Amber Loomis, MME, MT-BC and Zach Williams, MA, MT-BC both have experience and focus on those affected by developmental disorders including Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as other behavioral and neurological issues. They also specialize in providing music therapy services for students in the Norman Public School and Moore Public School districts as part of a student's Individualized Education Plan. Even though music therapy is extremely different from music education, some of the adaptive techniques in therapy for special needs individuals can be used in music instruction. All kids, families, teachers, therapists, aids, and friends in the special needs community are encouraged to come get hands-on to learn and network with our presenters! For more info on their practice, visit www.zettamusictherapy.com. --For further inquiry, please contact us info@musicmovesmountains.org -- Thank you!
